Looks nice... c/w Scart lead, too!

D'you suppose it'd be easy enough to hack to region-free?

I did a quick google and a few of them showed up on eBay.de and with other German online stores. A lot of them were looking for €69.99 for the same model... :D

Found the following info lying around on another board regarding this particular dvd player:
    _______________________________________________

To convert this player to Multi-Region
    1. Press the Menu button on your remote control
    2. Press the 1 button on your remote control
    3. Press the 6 button on your remote control
    4. Press the 7 button on your remote control
    5. Press 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on, or alternatively Mute button on your remote control for All Regions

Tried it with both R1 and R2 no problem !

Impressed with quality so far, system gives a really loud sound/range. For £59.99 a nice little number for my bedroom.

So what does that make it at €44.99...? ;)

Good point except that the post refered to the make as Tevion - purchased at Aldi. Furthermore, this was posted back in Sept. ...and with DVD player prices heading south at a rapid rate of noughts....

As i said, no guarantees provided, but i have a feeling this is relevant info..

    Looks like it: "DVD, CD, Kodak Picture CD, CD-R, CD-RW, JPEG, MP3, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW compatible"

I'm not sure which model it is, but checked this out from the videohelp website and got these details on the various Tevion dvd players. Hopefully the format comes out ok, if not have a look at the following link. I tried pasting the table but it didn't hold the format, just follow the link

Can someone confirm the model of the player?

Yeah Looks like VCD and SCVD only, unless its the high end model which is unlikely.

Bung the security guard a few quid and ask him to hold one out for you!
Much easier then fighting with the usual Q of people.

I thought that you can order them, even if whats on display is gone.
