jeez in fairness can u not try and train yurself to not lift the mouse???? I had an MS opti blue mouse that I always lifted when playing games but noticed while using the mx1000 I didn't lift... Just try decreasing the amount u lift off by cos the mouse will stay on if u lift it a short distance off the mat.

EDIT altho I've currently had to RMA mine cos the charger went kaput :(

Maybe its due to personal preferences because I lift my mouse throught the game and not have any problems whatsoever.

well tbf i dont see why i should have to change the way ive just got use to using a mouse and besides i really dont have much room where i use my mouse so its sort of not an option to not lift it, the tray that slides out is quite small :(

so ive had to adjust to it ...and anyways when i upp it its far too sensitive

actually what I wrote earlier sounds a bit like "cop on and stop whining" so apologies for that and I reckon yur right... It seems to me that a mouse with a 75yoyo price tag is really aimed at gamers and to have a situation where the mouse switches off when u pick it up and lags when contact is made again is crap considering most gamers do it. I actually did have that lag as well but I have plenty of space to use my mouse and so didn't have to resort to picking the mouse up much. Bear with it tho. Surely Logitech will concede and release a firmware upgrade otherwise they are alienating the very ppl who will buy their expensive little mouse in the first place.

EDIT: I will nitpick slightly tho.... A new mouse is like a new car. You need to adjust to a new car and you also need to adjust to a new mouse.

lol id stick it on ere but i doubt id get any takers with the £>euro ..gap

i also dont know how much id be able to get on these boards i was thinking around £50 inc, as i can only find 1 site in the uk thats selling it for less than £50 but they also charge crap loads of postage so it comes to about £52 (which is where i got it from)

is £50 an acceptable price in ireland or would people prefer to get it from other people over there so they could just pick it up?

and np Canis when i pay £50 for a mouse i expected it to be an immediate difference but would just work for me without having to adjust..damn it should get me a beer for that! but i wasnt quite expecting it, its a great little mouse and for general browsing i doubt it can be matched, but ive playing UT online for 2 years now and ive used the same mouse since day 1, adjusting would practically be like starting out again and i dont think i have the inclination lol

*edit* tbh Venom like i said before i dont know if i could be bothered to buy a different mouse and adjust to it, i may just get a replacement for my old Trust optical me and him have come a long way! and since they are selling new now for £8..it would be nice just incase...

cant remember where I read it but the boomslangs which where good once upon a time just don't cut it anymore apparantly and they are also supposedly real awkward to get used to

You have it the wrong way around. The original Boomslangs were not the most well built of mice. Razor then got there act togeather and improved the build quality of there products. Been using mine for almost 2 years now with out any bother at all :)
