I've a Fender Blues Junior all valve amp for sale, beats the pants off any of those Marshalls...

€400. I'm only selling it cause I got an AC30. It's 6 months old and in mint condition.

    how big is it? wattage?

I have a Marshall Valvestate 65 watts i'm selling. It's pretty loud and has a nice sound. I'm selling it for around €200, if you're interested.

    i dunno about 65 watts

    u can get 100 watts new for around 300 - 350

i need at least a 100w for small gigs and such

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,380 ✭✭✭fitz

It's a 15 Watt amp much in the vein of the AC15.
It's louder than solid state marshalls of 100 watts.
It's easily transportable, cause it ain't huge.
They have them in Musicians Inc, you could try one out there.
    It's a Master/Gain type amp.

I can't urge you strongly enough to at least try one before buying a Marshall.

Sorry chap but that's a load of bull**** and a common held misconception. You do not need a 100W for a gig. Any gigs you play, the amps will be miced so you only need an amp that'll serve you as a stage monitor. Even a 15W amp (if it's decent) would do you.

that 15w tube amp is loud enough for you

You can have it for 150 if you change you mind

Don't be too taken in by the wattage thing, esp for guitar amps. Watts are not equal to volume, headroom, or quality of sound.

If an AC30 and an AVT150 had an amp-off, my money is on the AC30.

I would let it go for about 300 euros

€400. I'm based in Celbridge, so best thing would be to give one a go in Musicians Inc, if you're interested like it, I could bring it in to town and meet you, and you could give it a quick check before buying.

It's a Marshall VS65R, it has a clean channel, distortion channel, reverb and an effects loop, no other effects though apart from reverb.
I live out in Blanchardstown. You could come out and try it out tomorrow if you want. Just so you know theres a little tear on the top of it but its really small and apart from that its in good condition.

Just gonna say, Fitz is a great man to deal with :D

I'm amazed Fitz has any equipment left after that last sale!

Anyway, my Peavey Bandit II arrived this morning (I was at work when the guy rang, so I had to sprint for 5 minutes to make it back to the house), and it is IMMENSE! I had cranked out a chord and was messing with some of the highs and lows when I accidentally 'nudged' the post-gain with my knuckle, and sent it past 4 on the dial. I had my head nearly blown backwards off my shoulders! I reckon I'm gonna have to wear earmuffs just to play in front of it.

Plenty left, plus a Digitech Whammy and Shure 58 Beta on the way...:p

Wait til you hear my EMG's running through it! I've had to change my pants twice in the past hour

Anyone want to buy a load of gear so I can get one?

With a 45% dealer-markup on ESPs, I say we go into business! Should make enough money in no time.
