    Where can I check how good/bad my connection is.

    I can say that the ADSL Guide speedtest is very good. Was surprised that my speed was only 430kbps considering im literally beside my exhange!

    I just got connected there yesterday n got 396 Kbps (inc. overheads) which is alright in my books. btw ive downloaded 2 gigs already do ye get charged for goin over the limit on the trial??

    has anyone ever been charged for goin over the limit??

    just did the test with http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ and got 426kbps. Is this good?

    used the top lnk and got the following..

    Downstream 428 Kbps (53.5 KB/sec) 462 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 105 Kbps (13.1 KB/sec) 113 Kbps (inc. overheads)

    Another site for testing your line speed is http://www.irishisptest.com
    It has the advantage that its based in Ireland, so the results should be more accurate

    Is that on a college network by any chance!!!?

    I got 431.20kbps

    which means you can download at 53.9 KB/sec. from our servers

    Naa its a work line
    only work in garage in bue bell industrial estate
    there must be a nod or a fat ass connection for all the businesses around here
