Request for a Religion Forum.

May I request a forum for general religious topics and Theology?
I find that my topics I would like to discuss don't belong in any of the existing forums.
    I could mod?

Please, we need a religion forum, we have a Harry Potter one, a Religion forum would serve many purposes to do with religion in general and topics that don't have anything to do with the major Religious organisations.

Could at least consider this, I know I haven't come up with the best ideas but I really think this is a good one.

When you asked us if Politics was the right place, we suggested Humanities, and I seem to recall seeing a thread there where the mod said it was ok to post there. Whats wrong with that forum?
    I could mod?

I'm beginning to see what's wrong with it....

Well thats a convincing argument if ever there was one...

Just group it all under the "George Bush Forum".

"Where politics and religion go hand in hand".

Surely that would Ireland. I can see why a Religion/Theology board is being asked for but humanities covers the topic imho.

well gee, why dont we just take all the religion boards, and put them under a theology banner.

im not entirely sure how much traffic each does on a regular basis, but it would certainly be preferential to have all of theology covered by a single board.

i mean, paganism, and budhism have one thread between them for the last 2 weeks.
christianity is only jumping at the moment cos justhalf is stirring trouble :)

    too many goodam boards.

oh, and can i be mod? cos, like, i made a sensible suggestion?

Plus, being a god of sorts makes you qualified to answer most queries and pass judgement on such issues.

I don't know what gave you that idea?

WhiteWashMan never claimed that he would be bring balance to the force ... er ... forum.

Why not offer suggestions Manach, rather than making sarcastic jibes that help no-one?

fine, the mod thing was a siggestion, why not have a religion forum, I'll post on the Humanities forum then, not that different but then the Junior Cert isn't THAT diffferent from the Leaving Cert.

    My apologies.
Ok, I think OmniCorp suggestion was a good one. But my point; the choice of moderator would be the major stumbling block because Religious topics I know have a tendency to flamewar fairly rapidily, so the Mod. has to be made of pretty asbesous like material and resist the tempation him/herself to join.

re: sarcacism, I thought I was being ironic. Oh well.

well, like i said, there are a lot of religion forums that 'appear' to have very little traffic. i dont see any reason why theology debates wouldnt exclude any perticular religions though. and so i figure a 'theology' forum would really just be an addition of a forum to an number of un trafficed boards.

the best dealers are never users :)

although, i dont know why there would need to be some resistance to giving an opinion. i heartly endorse the abilty to stomp on flamewars, but that doesnt mean that a moderator doesnt have the right to have an input into a debate. after all, i have input everyday into 99% of threads onthe work forum. even whenthe kids are disucssing the ridiculous idea of moving to iraq to sell cars to US marines *boggle*

    I probably wasn't.

Why shouldn't we have a religion forum?
Is there no place for religion in today's society?
Maybe George Bush does have a point in his religious beliefs.
There is worse that could happen the a religious person coming to office.

what I meant was a person with some morals coming to power, Bush was abad example.
And why should religion and boards be sperate, Gandalf Lathspell?

Listen, I am just asking for a forum for religious and theological discussion, not Catholic Child abuse arguments, debates, it doesn't have to have anything to with the Politics forum and no one is telling people to visit it if there is to be one.
