Stuck in a little dilemma here folks. Both The Mark Lanegan Band and The Vandals are playing on the same day, 23rd November, so I'm forced to choose which one to go to.

I know both bands played here recently enough (and I missed out on both). Anyone go to any of their previous gigs? Good live?

Mark Lanegan Band! 'Bubblegum' is one of the albums of the year for me.

    Plusss...

MARK LANEGAN (Queens of the Stone Age, Screaming Trees)
Plus Special Guest, NICK OLIVERI (QOTSA, Mondo Generator)
    The Ambassador, Dublin - November 23rd ‘04

Assured of his place in musical history as front-man of Screaming Trees, vocalist for Queens Of The Stone Age and as a critically-acclaimed solo singer/songwriter, MARK LANEGAN’s fantastic new album ‘Bubblegum’ is destined to be one of the Albums of 2004.

Special Guest at The Ambassador is fellow former QOTSA member, Nick Oliveri playing solo & acoustic.

The last time the two appeared at The Ambassador was with Queens at their now legendary show back in October 2002, before returning for Slane 2003.

Aye, I found out that Nick Oliveri would be supporting the Lanegan Band yesterday, so I'm now leaning more in favour of them. I think I'll have to listen to more material by both bands to make a decision, yet I didn't think Bubblegum was anything spectacular.

I've decided to go to the Mark Lanegan Band, and I'll get my punk rock fix at Flogging Molly the day before.

    Thanks guys.
