Shopping in Galway

Is Maplin all we have left in Galway? I'm looking for a Logitech Dual-Action gamepad, and Maplin doesn't have it in stock. Can anyone point me toward another shop in the West? Any PCWorld outlet near here?

Online shopping is out of the question, unless you know anyone that ships for free. I'm not paying €10 extra for P&P for a €30 product.

    Thanks,
    JP

...but a €20 product would cost €30 in any local shops.

there should be a pc world outlet opening very soon in the same complex as maplin... bar compustore, argos or any of the local game shops (smyths/gamestop/game) that'd be your only option

Just been to Argos. They have it in the catalog, but not in stock.
I checked the toy stores over the weekend, and while they do carry PSX/PS2/Xbox controllers, haven't seen anything for the PC, except a couple of €9.99 noname-type gamepads.

Anyone else noticed the trend to completely disregard PC gaming in favor of consoles lately? Take Madden NFL 2005 for example. I checked Smyth's over the summer, their ETA on Madden was 19 Sept. I was there on the date, and it was 'OUT NOW' all over the shop. I asked to buy it, but no. PC version is not out yet, just PS2, XBox, Gamecube, PSX. Do you have a date for it? No.
Same discussion in Gameworld. Same story in Game.

I guess all the piracy happening on the PC scene is the cause. I've heard it mentioned at EA Sports. Their PC versions just don't have the same priority as the consoles, as they don't bring in enough sales compared to the other versions. Hmmm... maybe I should check the Advertiser for a second-hand PS2...
