Would it be possible to set up either categories for avatars or make them searchable? Clicking through 100+ pages is such a bore... ;)

Would be useful alright - don't think too many people will be borrowing my avator from a "Dune" category!

Doing it in phpBB is easy enough, but I've yet to find out how to do it in vBulletin. If you find out a way to do it in vBulletin, tell the mods, and they may be able to help implement it.

This is similar to a minor quibble I've had since the upgrade. Who's online list, avatars, etc are broken into much smaller pages so there's much more scrolling involved to get through them. How diff would it be to put more on the same page?

Thw who's online page used to be all one page - I don't think it's as usable since.
If there were more avatars to the page displayed I'm sure it would ease the difficulty in serching through them?

Someone with access could just do a dir/ls of the avatars directory, pipe it out to a blank document, autogenerate the html to display the corresponding avatar alonside its name, organised by category (should be automatic, as each avatar seems to begin with "CategoryName -") and pagenumber (not sure where this last bit of info is stored, but it can be read from the URL of the page which displays it.

Doing a serach on Avatar in the FAQ gives you a page with a link to all the avatars on one page.

Though it is badly formatted (they scroll off to the right of the screen) you can use a ctrl-F to search for a name.

Selecting the one you want for your account is still a pain. You have no idea even what page the image will finally end up on.
