War of the Rats

Anyone read 'War of the rats' ? I believe it is the true story of the snipers in Stalingrad, upon which the film 'enemy at the gates' was based. Of course Hollywood glossed up a lot of stuff, but I'm told this is a decent account of what it was actually like. Just wondering if anyone had read this and had any comments.…

Yeah I read it a long time ago and seem to remember enjoying it, was fairly well written and historically interesting. I think the film is relatively faithful to the book, though the book attempts to give a more realistic flavour of what it was like to be in hell on earth.
