[Request] Cheap Chemistry Books

    Hi

I was wondering does anyone know where I can get cheap(er) chemistry books in Dublin (or the internet!) other than in Hodges Figgis (because their selection is crap! ), Waterstones (because their selection is non-existent  ) or Easons (same as Waterstones! :( ). I've checked out Chapters aswell but they don't really have what I want...Advanced organic chemistry books, asymmetric synthesis etc.

Before anyone suggests that I go onto play.com, as they're selling books now, I already have and they ain't cheap...in some instances they're more expensive than HF which is saying something!

    Anyway thanks in advance
    Milo

Something on the advanced side of organic ie. 4th year undergrad or postgrad level. Am just after starting my postgrad so want to start reading up on all that stuff I'm supposed to know but I hate libraries!! :D

I have most of the recommended texts from my course but they don't exactly cover everything in as much detail as I want so I'd like to get more specialised texts on organic synthesis and in particular asymmetric synthesis!

    Okay.
I buy most of my text-books from amazon. Usually the UK one, second hand if possible and often you get a good deal. Here's a list of Asymmetric Synthesis titles. Many are reasonably priced..
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/202-0538250-6499869

Check the german site too as you can often get the same titles cheaper from there (in english). Like this reasonably priced lil fella:
    http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3131369019/qid=1099313243/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/302-5939684-2439252
    or
    http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/0198557256/qid=1099313243/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/302-5939684-2439252

I wouldn't try the american site, academic book there seem grossly inflated..
