On Friday the 5th of November get ready for the next installment of Urban Sprawl at The Temple Bar Music Centre. We continue our series of gigs featuring the legends of Drum’n’Bass this November when we play host to the mighty Fabio, who’ll no doubt treat us to one of his signature sets of some of the best tunes old and new. Fabio is renowned all around the world for his performances and can lay claim to being one of the few people at the very cornerstone of the phenomena that is Drum’n’Bass; don’t miss this rare chance to catch him lay down some of the freshest tracks along with some classic tunes in a way that only he can.

Supporting Fabio on the night is DJ/Producer and founder of Bassbin Records, Rohan, who can be found regularly at Bassbin’s own weekly Saturday night club ‘Refuge’ at the Metropolitan. His reputation as a DJ is second to none and lately he’s been playing all around the world. He always lays down some of the latest and greatest tracks mixed in true style, and his trademark sly grin comes for free.

Also playing the main room on the night is Code, another great DJ who brings Drum’n’Bass to the far reaches of Ireland with the rest of Nu Killa Kru at their night Nu Killa Beats in his home town of Limerick. Code can be found playing all over Ireland and regularly at Refuge. As a DJ, Code is tighter than a tight space in a tight place with the tightest mixing and his tunes are, well, tight.

There’s also some great MC’s presiding over the main room action on the night. Most notably MC Rage, who’ll be returning to Dublin to MC alongside Fabio. Rage, real name Patrick was dubbed an honorary Irish Man by us after his last visit in response to his performance, both onstage and off, and has been dying to come back to MC to another Dublin crowd. Also we’ll have Julie D, a female vocalist new on the scene who’s been making waves lately with her flowing rhymes and irresistibly smooth voice. And last but not least we have Reggae MC Larry, who’ll be taking the mike alongside Rohan and laying down some great vocals.

Also on the night there’s a whole bunch of great DJ’s playing a wide array of styles. We’ll have live Hip-Hop from DJ Needlz featuring MC Finnesse, Hip-Hop and funk from DJ Rowan, Reggae and Dub from Rogue Trader, Break Beat from John Gibbons and more.

So there it is: two rooms, seven DJ’s, four MC’s, five styles, a VJ armed with twelve screens of visuals and one legend, all on one night; Friday 5th November at The Temple Bar Music Centre. Admission is just €12 with a flyer or valid student ID, €15 otherwise. Please bring over 18’s ID (Passport/ Drivers Licence/ Garda ID) to the club to ensure entry. Advance tickets will soon be available for €12 at Selectah Records, Crowe St., Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
