Never mind Feylya, I want that! Mmmm... fretless tone from a strat. Wish my savings didn't amount to thirteen euro at the moment. Anyone want to give me a job?

I like the Mexicans. They're no Americans but they're better value as far as I'm concerned. Now the Highway 1's; that's value for money!

    As the old saying goes:

Mexican Fenders are made Mexico by Mexicans.

USA Fenders are made in California by Mexicans.

I'm pretty sure they're all made by robots. With cheap materials in Mehico and less-cheap materials in the Land Of Opportunity.

    It was a joke really.

Your right though they are all CNC made. The necks on mexicans are actually made in California (very roughly) and then shipped down to Mexico to be finished sanded, fretted etc. The factory workers are maily involved in finishing, setup, wiring, testing and assembly. The quality of the woods in the U.S.A. ones is better. In recent reays its actually gotten better. The mexicans are mainly let down by ****e electrics however. Both good guitars but for shear value the domestic market Fender Japan guitars are an excellent buy.
