    Hey, this is mega cool.

    The creators of Wikipedia are considering creating WikiNews.

    Sounds like a mammoth undertaking, but definately one that if anyone, the wikipedia guys can pull it off.

    Just imagine, free, peer reviewed/edited/approved news reporting. Grassroutes power!

    Certainly a good idea, I look forward to any new news outlet, especially one with such a strong backing company!

    Saying that, neutral reportage and accurate stories will be a difficult thing to monitor when it comes to having such open input, but if they get it to work then it would be great.

    Also good to see them allow free usage for local and national media, if done properly this could really revolutionise news gathering.
