hi, i am on a LAN and would like to know who is viewing my shared files, netwatcher pro works but it is very prone to errors in windows 2000, are there any other similar programs out there that you know of for 2000?

I don't know of any programs, but there's a windows built-in share viewer just incase you can't find anything else.

    (Right-click) My Computer
    >> Manage
    >> System Tools>>Shared Folders>>Sessions

By default it doesn't keep a log - rather it's 'Live', so if you're not watching it you could miss someone, but you could probably set up some auditing/logging for it... although I've never explored doing that.
