ive a few relations in the U.S. who wouldnt mind bringing one over with them. works out about €400 with current currency exchange rates. and its free shipping to anywhere in the U.S. any other charges i could be liable for?

So since iTunes will apparently be managing photos, does this mean they'll be adding a porn section?

But that aside, I'm sure it'll be nice, but the price is steep. I'll wait for Creative to churn out the inevitible clone for half the price.

Dont know about clones, but they already have the Zen PMC out, plays video and music, longer battery life to boot (22Hrs for music). Its the player with the "MS" connection!

people people, would you you actually view pics on your ipod ? i mean its a neat feature, an extra if you may, showing your friends etc but who here (ipod owner) takes out their delicate ipod(out of your pocket) , fear of dropping, its like cinderellas delicate,glass shoe? the battery is **** as it is (12hrs lasting merely 7hrs) browsing photos and the backlight always being on due to the color screen will suck the power out of this MAGIC WONDER.

id say so, http://ipodlinux.sourceforge.net/ with a little haxxing the ipod can do all sorts of cool stuff. there was a boards thread about it, but i cant find it now. with the new colour screen id imagine they can have some fun with it

Happens on every bloody ipod thread. I don't know about anyone elses feelings on it - but personally, having played with an iriver for a while I can safely say it feels like an inferior ipod and, frankly, any extra money needed to obtain an ipod is worth paying as a result.

The photo ipod can connect to a TV so you can view your photos on any telly.

Is this a fact ? Anbody know when its coming in ?

Also I know its only available for XP and 2000, is their a way of getting around this for ME ?
