    How do i open .mdf files what program do i need?

    AFAIK, they're Alcohol 120% disc image files. If you're using disc emulation software, you need the .mds file with the same name. You can open them with Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools.

    Though google turns up " A .mdf file is a SQL Server database data file" in one of the top listings

    chances are its an alcohol image though...

    i've always used daemon tools to mount them on a virtual drive, without any problems so far
