Andy Kershaw summed it up there on the 6 O'Clock News on BBC 1...

There are 16 year olds out there now, and they dont know where to send their music as their cheerleader, their champion is gone.

He's a huge cultural loss as well as a nearly personal one for many of us.

    Mike.

what can you say... words are hard to come up with when someone like this dies.... I have to say I always tried to listen to his shows as much as I could and they were always great shows...

He will be missed... A legend

Very bad news indeed. He was the primary reason to listen to Radio 1. :(
