Whatever happened to Minitowers??

    You know the ones that had 3 x 5.25" and 2 x 3.5" drive bays. all you can seem to get now are barebones (too small) or midi towers (too big). anyone seen a site with mini towers still on it?

    call me picky but thats too tall and too fugly.

    Any smaller than that case and the PSU wouldn't fit above the motherboard and it would have to be mounted infront of the CPU. This is the way the old Socket A cases were designed but anything modern will not fit into them.

    Ahhh - its so obvious now you say that. My Xp2500 was a tight fit in my old minitower alright - it had just that problem.

    Ta - guess I will look for a small looking midi tower or one of the bigger barebones.,,, cheers

    Have a mini tower type case with most of a PC still in it! You can have the whole thing for 20eu if you want...

    You can still buy mini towers. You just have to shop around.

    antec sonata is quite small,

    3 cd bays etc

    You beat me to it! I saw an antec on simply.co.uk that had only 3 drive bays - Likely I'll be getting it - any irish co's do antec?
