I have a Logitech wireless keyboard with all the extra keys for media player control....up until lately it worked fine with Winamp as long as I had the cursor off Winamp or I was using another application at the time....now however it will not work at all....I uninstalled and reinstalled Winamp and the Logitech drivers but still nada....oh if I press the play key and Winamp is not running it will start it but then nada....

Has anyone any ideas on how to get the media keys working with Winamp?

Have u installed SetPoint software? That application should enable you to customise your keyboard buttons. Check logitech website in download section - www.logitech.ie to find the right version for your keyboard.

If you're using the latest version of Winamp, you should be able to reconfigure the keys in the Preferences section under "Global Hot-Keys".

    yea ur right...

i had the same issue i have a microsoft wireless desktop thing...

with the software procided you can assign sortcut keys and the like
with winamp hotkeys you can assign regular key commands to controls

but in order to use your 'special buttons' ... like on my keyboard play, pause forward back etc...

for winamp you need a plugin...
i've got 2 apps i can send you that are supposed to do this... 1 worked for me the other didnt ... i forget which is which now to be honest as i had a reinstall lately and havnt bothered do it yt, i just have both in my archived files...

so basically pm me ur email addy and il email the 2 to you and you can feck about or else do a google for plugis etc....

Well I downloaded the latest iTouch from Logitech and installed it which has fixed my problem....I'm especially baffled by this as it was working, stopped & I reinstalled the iTouch that came with the keyboard without success....strange but at least it now works....
