Really good pic. so good i set it as my background. which had interesting results. i use a multiple moniter environment andon my primary moniter it shows exactly as you all see it here, but on my second moniter which is an old compaq v50 i.e. crap, i can see a tree in the bottom left foreground and see all the windows alomg the building faces. basically it dosen't carry the silhouette properties you were aiming for. did you darken it on the pc? jst find it strange that i can see all that...

i did tweak the saturation and contrast/brightness in it but i got a print of it yesterday and you can see the windows slightly but not the tree. so i suspect your monitor is set with a bit too much brightness.

i quite like the fact that there is stuff hidden in the shadows though

Is it the same (original) photo or just the same shot taken again (in different conditions obviously)?

Is it from Ranelagh Luas station?

To check if you monitor brightness & contrast have a look here.

A great picture in the first post. I'd love to visit Dublin sometime. Maybe after Ryanair opens a straight connection to Tampere. ;-)

I've also taken beautiful shots here with my digital camera. It's a Casio Exilim EX-Z4. I find the camera and Photoshop CS's "Shadow and Highlight" function 100 times better than old-style photography.

i can still see it, if you can't go here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2819735&size=lg
you should be able to see it

and yes, the light version is the same photo just adjusted in photoshop to show all the really dark details more clearly

    It's a beauty alright.
