for most of us when we go out, we end up in a pub/club/whatever and have a good time and we wake up the next morning with slightly dodgy memories and an appetite a fat man would be proud of (i do anyway). when we go out we are fully aware (you should be) that some people take drugs when they go out to those kind of places whatever their reason may be (thats another discussion).

what i want to know is how many of you can spot people on drugs? spotting drunken people is easy as hell, and especially too easy in ireland smile.gif but can you tell a difference between a person that has been drinking and a person that has been taking drugs? i have a knack for this and can easily single out people that took cocaine, heroin and ectasy (i wont even mention weed or hash cause i dont really think of it as a drug).

if you are wondering where did adnans get this crazy idea click here...

I can spot people on anything also, could be due to the fact that I know alot abuot the effects of the different drugs, through personal experience...not neccessarily saying I've taken them!! smile.gif I can just tell.

Someone on yokes, will be chewing their own faces off, while someone who's on coke will likely be sniffing quite alot and be unnaturally confident in whatever he/she says. Speed, they won't shut up, and someone stoned can eitehr be just rediculously lazy, or talking extremely intellectually (or so they think) and laughin alot. You don't see people on heroin walking down the streets... but you do see people off heroin walking the streets and they're the skankers that come up to you in bits...can't think of any other drugs at the moment... but I think all of the above I listed are the social drugs, the rest are for house parties or places where people can feel at ease....

Was out at the weekend (novelty, yes smile.gif ). The guys with the fixed stares, ignoring everyone, overly animated, dancing to their own beat were definitely on something .... I wonder what ....

I work nights in a 24hr Filling Station in Galway and I have to serve* people coming out of the night clubs (Liquid, Bogarts, and the Warrick, for any Galwegians that care to know), and the obvious concoction goin' on there is the Disco Biscuits and Shtout. Well anyway, the only two phrases you'll guarantee to hear are.. "Wa...wa...WAAATER" and "gi'z Blue Skinz" followed by a "T-o-s-s-e-r" or "W-a-n-k-e-r".
The advice for a Joe Soap on the street to tell of a bloke is on E is
    1. If his pupils are so dialated that you can make out his brain at the back
    2. His face is so red, he looks like he's just had an emena
    3. a string of empty water bottles around him

its impossible in a club situation to tell from bodylanguage/dilation of any given over exited teenager what stimulant if any they have taken.
Im not sure Street analysis of strangers is an acurate guide either as you are hardly likely to go up and ask them to confirm it.
In analysis of freinds i would say Heroin is a very easy drug to spot, there is a definate though hard to pinpoint personality change, its kind of like talking to a stranger,or a very extreme alcholic.
Speed is usually easy to spot due to its effects of making the user highly agitated.
Cocaine is harder to pinpoint exactly the user might be more talkative than usual but the outward signs are very similar to speed, though possibly conversations will tend to center around the users ego.
I find the hardest drug to acurately predict someone has taken is extacy, peoples reactions to it seem to vary in extremis.I have seen people "go off on one",turn blue,or sit completely "out of it".
