USB Midi Keyboard Latency

Hey,
Got myself an Evolution 449c midi keyboard the other day and I'm using Cubase Sx with a couple of Vsti's. I'm not too sure if it's my pc, my sound card, or just the way I have it set up, but there seems to be a big delay from the point I touch the keys to hearing the sound. Anyone have this problem before? Or have a solutions to it?

Go to Devices->Device Setup->VST Multitrack and setup your ASIO driver (if you have one) and select your latency level from the asio control panel.

Yeah that your first port of call, the driver choice can make a huge difference. You could try (if nothing sesm to work in cubase) something like Energy XT or Chainer which are "standalone" VST hosts.

I had excactly the seem problem with reason 2.5 and a midi keyboard. Made it impossible to multitrack with. No messing the asio latency settings helped. Id also be interested in a solution to this one.
