My ps2 aint working. Says disk read error when i try to play any games, i noticed for a while that it would play disks with a blue bottom on them, but not silvered ones. Anyone know a solution to this problem? Or know anywhere are midlands that repair playstations [will go as far as Dublin if necessary]

get lens cleaning kit ,i know sum1 same problem, follow instructions carefully ,i dont know if u can get a specific kit for ps2 ,cost in pound shop 5euro approx,,,be careful put minimum amount of cleaning fluid on cleaning disc insert slowly and reset ps2 ,its worth a try ,look at ps 2 tray ,clean if theres any dirt or dust in it 1st, if lens dirty u may have to clean 3 times ,if thats the problem.i never cleaned ps2 only pc cdrom drives.BE CAREFUL ,if fluid gets into ps2 circuits it shortcircuit ps2board ,its at ur own risk ,theres shop beside ballybough post office dublin 2 open thursday to satrday fixes consoles and ps2.s.dirt buils up in ps2 gradually if u dont clean tray regularly ,collects on lens when u put in disk ,so lens cant see disk ,like hifi cdplayer or vcr heads need to be cleaned on occassion.
