I'm guessing this is the right board to ask this question - where can I get good quality playing cards? I'm sick of the dog-ended flimsy rubbish you get in newsagents.

If you search the forum you should find some threads about this.

There is a guy based in rathfarnham who sells KEMs which are the finest poker cards available to mankind. Special Days on grafton street/liffey valley have the WPT cards I think. Dunno about the finish on them.

Special Days carry BEE, Bicycle & WPT playing cards in both standard and jumbo index.

Prices are 3.95 / 3.50 / 4.50 per deck (identical to USA Pricing!!!)

BEE are used in many casinos and WPT are the official cards of the WPT Tour.

WPT plastic cards will be in stock within the next 2 weeks - USA launch has been put back to Nov 1st.

If you're not in dublin you can call the Liffey valley store and they can take your details on the phone and post them out to you - 01 6215171

How durable are the current WPT cards if they aren't 100% plastic.

Any chance of sponsoring a few decks for the BSOP? (our ongoing monthly compwtition)

Try the Dal Negro PVC - acetate cards.€15 for two packs from special days. They will last a long time. Almonst as good as KEM.

I got 2 sets of Dal Negro cards when I ordered my chips. I've only one full deck now thanks to some drunken poker but they're nearly as good as KEMs without being super-index. I think musician bought some recently at a decent price in Rathmines somewhere.
