A dvd burner and some dvd burning software. Some of the older Cd burning software will not identify dvds. If you search the computer forum, there are loads of threads and links about the DVD software/hardware required...

If you buy a DVD recorder (from www.komplett.ie for example) often they come with a copy of some burning software. They are pretty cheap now too, you can get one for around €80.

Nero 6 is grand for burning DVDs though as Lenny said, theres plenty of free software out there.

Yea I have **** loads of freeware burning software at home, I'll try and remember the post them when I get home
I never got any burning software with my burner, though it was an oem. I got the pioneer 16x dual layer there last week
and I flashed it, can burn 4x ritek(datewrite) at 16x with no coasters, very chuffed I have to say with this writer!
