Aye, its going nicely now. As an indication of that, our bandwidth use has actually gone up quite a bit. Pie is serving on average (at 95th percentile) over 2 mbit, while muppet is serving just under half a mbit. This means that boards will pump just under half a terabyte a month.

Next step is to fix our webstat logging to combine both servers - I would imagine we've had a hefty jump in page impressions too...

Now I'm on a decent computer, it's faster than greased poop. Almost... too fast...

    This Pie malarky is great.

Ecksor and Regi really have pulled out the stops to keep us online and serving with some technical hiccoughs and all the quirkiness of VB3... as ever bear with us while we (read: they for the most part!) fix up the remaining bits and pieces.
Cloud is being modest too as he's put a lot of effort into the switch over too!

Its nice to be back on the road again, next stop: clusters of Crays and a self sentinent Boards.ie :)

I think for that to work, the Admins would actually have to be sp|_|nk.

    Sentient?! It'd be completely schitzo!

Good work all. Any word on when the subscriptions section will be back up? I think there's quite a few of us waiting to contribute...

would hazard a guess at less than a week only about 28,000 posts to go

fair play to all concerned by the way.
