If its the tackle im thinking of then im suprised Souness is only 10th .
Im thinking about the one where he rams his studs into the 'groin area' of another opponent and then stands on the same area for good measure .

No Ruddock? His tackle on Andy Cole in a Liverpool vs Man U reserve match saw Razor break both of Cole's legs.

No Korneev on Denis Irwin? That scumbag should have been shot for that challenge.

Fair play to you. Want a medal for that?

Pffft! Not much of a list! Gary Steven's 1987 career-ending tackle on Jim Beglin isn't even in their top 50.

Definately was Moncur Cantona stamped on, Im also pretty sure it was Bosvelt who put that challenge in on Irwin, if its the one I think you mean. But if not, then the Bosvelt challenge was a shocker too.

I can't remember the match or the fouler, but Denis Irwin was the foulee. Eurpoean match, caught him around the knee, desperate tackle. Probably mentioned above ^^^

Gazza's or is it G8's? at No 8 in the list was so bad it almost ended his own career, He was never the same player after the injury he inflicted on himself while carrying out that tackle.

This thread has reminded my what a scumbag Totti is , and I think back to him trying to break Rene Henrikkson's knee during the Euro's(stamped downward on Henrikkson's knee while the ball was nowhere near ther , should have been a straight red but the ref didn't get a good angle and only gave Totti a yellow card) , the same match he spit on Poulsen .

He's the type of player you wouldn't mind being terribly injured in a tackle himself .

I'm suprised that little bastard Saunder's career ending challenge on Paul Elliot didn't get in.

48 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, for Manchester United v Newcastle United, April 1998 Chasing victory in a vain pursuit of Arsenal at the top of the table, United are caught upfield in the closing moments. Solskjaer chases back and cynically brings down Rob Lee to receive a red card for a professional foul

thats a bit of a joke, its wasnt even a bad tackle.
