    If I go to the UK and buy a tv with FREEVIEW already installed, will it work in Ireland. the TV that is. Not the freeview. Does a UK tv work in ROI ?

    You are in wexford iirc.
    UK tv's are usually uhf only( but not exclusively so-some have vhf, check the manual) so that means only tg4 and tv3 will work along with the uk stations.
    You would need your video to tune in and watch RTÉ on your video channel.
