    Anybody here Dr. Bill on Today FM this mornin talkin about me aul segotia...
    I can remember this sayin a lot from me past but have no idea where it derives from.... Does anybody out there know the origin.....??

    I don't know the exact origin but the phrase "me ould segotia" was used regularly by the late Jimmy O'Dea in a weekly comedy show on RTE called the "The Railwayman". I'm talking B&W TV here. Maybe early sixties. Its an old Dublin term of endearment, generally used for platonic friends in my experience.
