    sorry to ask you but went to downloads.com and got spyware on my computer cant open up two webpages at a time. Kinda know what to do but need links could someone direct me to page with all the info on spybot and firefox the best page and i will download everthying sorry for being such a fool.

    first of all go to www.download.com and search for spybot 1.3 download it update scan your computer. then search for ad aware SE 1.5 download it update it scan your computer. follow the results they give you.

    download firefox at http://www.mozilla.org/

    update and scan regulary with spy bot and ad aware

    when i go to dowloads.com and put in spybot 1.3 the internet browser suts down any advice would be appriciated

    OK, nasty :( have you tried using firefox and getting spybot using firefox ( In my sig ) ? If firefox is also shut down when you type in Spybot then tell us.

    yeh i think i had something like this the other week, id just installed windows and set everything up from scratch on 1 on my comps (cant remember which :rolleyes: ), went to get some stuff online and got this stupid error, dunno if its the same as what you have but i know i already had firefox downloaded onto another of my comps so just bung it on my memory stick, copied it over installed it and firefox worked grand, i would say firefox would help ..well its better than IE :p ..its just if u can get to it through IE :rolleyes:
