my 9800 pro died yesterday. gives a very weird picture on dvi and analogue. i am now using my geforce 2 mx. never overclocked it. i only bought it 3 months ago and is still under warranty. i was thinking that if wait a while before RMAing it they may give me a better card. so my question is when does the 9800 pro stop being manufactured?

lol do u think i didnt try that when my 9800xt went tits up

id had it 4months or so, but they said it had been too long they would only give me a new 9800xt :(

i dont think its worth holding on coz it wont work , just send it back now and get it sorted! that gf2 must really hurt!

do you think i am entitled to a refund (on their rma form they have a tab of either replaacement or refund). i only paid about £130 for the card. could i buy a better card for this now? BTW the warranty will run out next june.

If your have warranty till next june they have to refund or replace it.. but most RMA departments would rather replace.. i know that Alienware policy is to always upgrade faulty components that are within warranty.
