The story is that somoene is hoping to get a monument set up in temple bar with a Bronze Strat to comemerate fifty years of the strat and Rory Gallager (it'll be on meeting house square)

The National Photography Institute are objecting to the Office Of Public Works and preventing this from taking place.

I would really like if I could get as many people as possible to sign this petition and possibly contact them and point out the irony of a departmant funded by the Dept of Arts Heritage and Culture taking such a stance on something as artistically significant as Rory Gallaghers contribution to music not just nationally but globally.

I've stuck it up on the Fender Strat Forum too, hopefully some of the regulars there will lend their support.
