My sister has just started studying music at university and a keyboard will no longer do, she needs a piano. We havent the space for a piano so it has to be a digital one (her music teacher has no problems with this) ...so has anyone got one or can anyone recommend a good one (~€1,500) and where to buy from?

    Many thanks

I bought one last year with the same budget. After going to loads of music shops in both cork and dublin and the Roland HP-2 was my favourite.
This will set you back €2000 in some retailers but I got mine from Germany (http://www.musicians-gear.com/) for €1350. It sounds great, much better than simularly priced pianos I tried out.
If you have any questions, pm me.

The selection in Waltons is alright just for trying out. I wouldnt buy one there, but you can get a good idea of how each one sounds...

rd700 is the best of the roland stage pianos (i think anyway). not sure how much it costs. However, I wouldnt say a stage piano is what your after, a fixed digital piano with really good built in speakers is a better bet.
