is there much of an online community for the game?
thinking of buying it had my fill of red alert 2 and starcraft

yeah the online community is decent like you can always get a match surprisingly high standard of online players when compared with RA2 or WC3.

Do people only play zero hour ?
or do they just play the orginal Due to balance issues ?

i dont really know im sure there are a decent amount of players for both myself i just play zero hour - its a more polished game.

I play zero hours.. anyone care fora game direct host/vpn as mine is err.. no cd patched

What I like about this game (Zero Hour) is that even after all these months I can still return to the skirmish or challenge mode and waste an hour or so against the AI on HARD mode. If I'm in the mood for some RTS carnage - C&C is yer only man! :cool:

Not many games can do that so long after their release date:)

Red Alert (origional), and Warcraft3, both have been out far longer, and both I enjoy more than C&C:G these days I foudn C&C:G get rather tedious quite quickly, even the zero hour expansion only got me an extra day or 2 worth of gameplay, good game Ill give it that, but very forgetable IMO.

I suppose it must have something to do with the political incorrectness of it all then:)

I've played all the red alert/c&c series, and warcraft series etc. but I just love the overkill aspects of genreals/zero hour.

I suppose its horses for courses. I've not returned to wc3 or others for a long time now. played em, enjoyed em and then put them on the shelf, but zero hour I keep going back to for some mindless fun:)

Aye. Once I get around to finishing it (the training levels), I'm going to get the AI patch. The AI @ the mo, even on hard, is kinda dumb. I like it when I can't move from my base, due to an oncoming barrage, and loose after a 5 hour fight. If I win in any less time, the AI is just too weak.

Got the game yesterday.
so what special generals do ya play ?
China's infantry general looks good from that stat thingie.
i like china but there a bit too slow to start.
gla are pretty good like zerg or nod if ur the camo general
