I caught the tail end of the nfl on Sky Sports today and they made a claim that the superbowl gets(or expects to get. I'm not sure which) an audience of 800 million viewers.

Myself and the brother were talking, basically, how is that possible? That's a hell of a lot of people watching what's basically a sport that's played in only a handfull of countries.

Anyone believe the figures? If you do could you explain how they pick that number.

And for comparison, how high is the world cup viewer figures, or the olympics?

800 million is poop! They proberly just found the figure for the World Cup and added a few mill. As you say hardly anyone outside the USA playes the game so why ppl would sit through a 3 hour yawn with pause in play for the ads every 60 seconds beats me!

    Mike.
