DNS question...

Fedora Linux, on my laptop, defaults to using my router to provide DNS services, which of course makes browsing websites slow as hell. Its a matter of 30 seconds to just disable DHCP and enter my own network settings.

Anyways, I use the Eircom DNS servers (159.134.237.6 and 159.134.248.17) instead, and therein is my question:

I'm going to London in a few weeks, and the laptop is going to be plugged into the internet there the entire time. This is more out of curiousity than any real need as it'll be easy to just check their router for network settings, but could I use the same DNS settings, etc, from London that I use here?

there will be no problem using eircoms dns servers in london. You can use them from anywhere in the world. Of course the further you are from the dns server the slower it will be. but from london it shouldnt make a noticeable difference, more like using a dns server from the USA you mite notice.
