    Hey,
Bought this guitar about a year ago, it's in perfect.
I want to ethir trade it in, or sell it, looking to get a George Benson series Ibanez or something similar. Would I be better selling it or trading it in off a new guitar?

    Cheers
    D

Dude, that's not a classified ad. He's asking us for advice. Personally I'd say sell it privately. If you trade it in, the guitar shop will have to give you less than it's worth so they can sell it for what it's worth and still make a profit. You should be able to rip off some dumb gom who doesn't know what they're buying. Also, look at a Gibson ES on Chris's site if you like the idea of the Bensons.

Sell it here privately and then buy the guitar you want from abroad, no question.

Yeah, in this country you can get away with ripping someone off when you sell and in the states or Germany you can get away with feeling like you're ripping someone off when you buy! :p

Nice. Very nice, but why go to the expense of picking it up yourself, just get the buggers to send it over. Have you had a look at Thomann and the Cologne store too?

Yeah had a look at Thomann alright, what's the Cologne store? I'd prefere to play it before I buy, need to get a feel for it before I splash out all that money, ye know?

Sometimes you've got to take a gamble. I had never even played a six string bass when I ordered mine but went for it anyway. Smartest thing I ever did.

Also, if you find an Ibanez jazz model with a "Prestige" neck, I would urge you to walk over anyone to get it ;) Just incredible attention to detail on the fretwork, you're guaranteed an amazing playing guitar.

Edit -> like this, for example
