I am not disturbed easily, but by jaysus, that was disturbing.
It was made even worse by the fact that she was an 11 year old girl.
I think the Channel 4 b@stards put on the cut version.

It was really cool when, a few times in the film, a second-long picture of a REALLY scary demonic face was shown.

(i know no-one else saw this cos they were drinking on paddys night, but i was fu<king sick goddamit!)

Get the 25th Anniversary edition DVD and you'll see the entire uncut version plus scenes that didn't make it into the original theatrical release (such as the "spiderwalk" section after Dennings' death).

Its been banned in Ireland til recently, as far as i know.
It wasnt shown on C4 til recently despite been released in '73

If you thought it was boring, you obviously werent watching it very closely

It was rejected for certification in 1974 by the BBFC and by extension Ireland, mainly on the grounds of the religious blasphemy etc. portrayed, I imagine.

Warner Brothers didn't want to cut it and resubmit it, so a status quo whereby it was never released on video occured.

    Until 1996 or whenever, anyway.
