Four-channel-land

....or rather two-channel-land downstairs, four upstairs, which defeats my purpose.

Having found myself a helpless drooling addict of TV, I cancelled NTL and bought a Skytronic indoor UHF/VHF aerial, with the intention of having only RTE1, RTE2, TG4 and TV3.

That's fine upstairs in the bedroom, but downstairs in the living room only RTE1 and RTE2 are coming in on the aerial.

Since I'm selling the bedroom TV, and banishing TV altogether from the bedroom, this means I'm deprived of TG4 (fave) and TV3 (sorta ok station).

Is there any way I can improve the signal downstairs?

Could you put an aerial in the roof space and run a cable down?

What is different about the set up in the two different rooms?
Have you tried swapping the tvs around?

Sounds good to me too ! A portable antenna is going to suffer down low as it looses sight of the TX antenna. Better still why not get a small antenna for the roof. A discrete cheap one will do for the local channels.
