Saw an ad for the new series of 'Teachers' on Channel 4 this morning around 8.30 before i left for college.

Knowing Channel 4, they'll repeat this ad practically every ad break until it starts.

Ad was fairly brief. But they showed three new teachers and also Penny, Bob and Lindsay. They have no date for the new series - just said 'Coming Soon' (i'm guessing start to mid-November)

Also, for all fans of Phoenix Nights, the official Patrick McGuinness (Paddy the bouncer in Phoenix Nights) website has some information on the Phoenix Nights spinoff, 'Road To Nowhere' with Max & Paddy taking to the road in their camper van.

"Many dates have been mentioned by fans all eager to see Road to Nowhere... the most popular being Friday 12th November... You'll have to wait and see, wont you!"

(Not exactly a conclusive date for the show... but worth mentioning nonetheless!)

and he mentions in his Quote Of The Week:

"Editing Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere is still going well, the two Pete's have finished off four of um and are currently working flat out on the last two episodes. It's starts next month (were does the time go) and I'm really looking forward to seeing it on the Channel that is 4."

    DRAMA: Teachers
    Channel: Channel 4
    Date: Tuesday 26th October 2004
Time: 22:00 to 23:05 (starting in 10 days)
Duration: 1 hour and 5 minutes.
Drama series following a group of twentysomething teachers grappling with professional challenges and personal dilemmas. Summerdown has merged with another school in the area, and it is all change for the teachers. Bob has been demoted, and his new boss seems to be a hit with all the women. Lindsay and Penny are trying to integrate and make friends with the new teachers, but not all of them are really interested.
Starring: Lloyd McGuire, Lee Williams, Vicky Hall, Tamzin Malleson
    (Subtitles)

(If you look at the 'Starring' part it doesn't list either Navin Chowdhry or Adrian Bower (aka the guys who play Brian and Kurt) so presumably they won't be in this series? - which would be a pity as they are the two funniest characters imho.)

Yeah they're gone unfortunately, and so is Matt. A great pity IMO.
