I think a new thread is worthy seeing as we've had a week and a half or so to digest it.

yeah- I agree - the new graphics work- and thank god the stings are short.
That Stew can be fairly hit and miss tho eh ?
what do ye make of the dinner party and the apprentice ?

Still RTE One's Baby Brother. Unwilling to compete with TV3 or RTE One.

Prehaps they should start to schedule something on the channel.

How is that a country so full of comedians cannot turn out decent tv comedy?

Is there someone in RTE in who runs the comedy section who doesn't know a laugh from a hole in the ground?

    What's the big difficulty?

Perhaps I'm missing the point, I never thought the idea of RTE2 was to compete with it's "bigger brother"
Similar to the beeb, the 2 channels have different audiences and the look and feel (try to) reflect this.

    Here here Hagar,
Never mind the buzzcocks or the fabulous QI with Stephen Fry are great because of the talent on the show
surely if RTE paid Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran et. al. they could have a decent Panel and give Dara O Briain something to work with.

Why not? It's there for the choice I don't see a choice with RTE2.

Why cann't RTE One have 15% of the audience and RTE Two have 15% of the audience?

Perhaps i'm way off- but I think that's what scheduling is all about
RTE one and 2 are hardly in competition for the same audience-

    9 oclock- Rte 1 - news
    Rte 2 - Friends

    9.30 RTe 1- Prime Time
    RTe 2- Terminator

Have you looked at the RTE Two schedule during the hours of 7 and 9?
    9 oclock- Rte 1 - news
    Rte 2 - Friends

    9.30 RTe 1- Prime Time
    RTe 2- Terminator

You forgot to mention that RTE News On Two interupts Terminator. Is this not bad scheduling?

I mean why not let Friends on after the news

    I.e.

    9PM Terminator
    11PM News
    11:30 Friends

Friends has ended let it go.

All I am suggesting is that rte put it on later at night so that that the news doesn't interupt movie.

I think it more sence that if RTE insist on showing friends then they should show later at night or maybe even before 9.
