I've got a memory problem. I have a stick of 512ram from before which can be seen here (or if ya to lazy to click its DDR PC400 512MB TwinMOS CL2,5) but recently got a bundle from komplett which inlcuded a motherboard and memory. The bundle is this one which is working fine on its own but other memory is used it won't work @ all.

Is PC400 the same as PC3200. If yeah should/would they work together or am i totally wrong? I'm not sure but i think that the PC400 could be faulty so this might be the problem.

If any1 has any idea let me know thanx.

PC3200 runs at 400MHz allright. Sounds like a faulty module.

DDR400 and PC3200 are the same and I would have thought different brands should work together ok. Maybe you could try manually setting higher timings in the BIOS.

Also worth a look is the MSI forum for the K8N, there's 2 stickys at the top, one for ram that works well with it, one for ram that doesn't. From what I remember seeing there and in the manual for the board, it can be sensitive to which slot the memory is in, so maybe you should try changing that too.
