Creating and adding a favicon to your website?

    anyone have any advice on this?
    what program to use to make the icon etc.

    There are quite a few shareware/freeware icon editors out there as well. Try having a look at Tucows.com

    Just on this note, although it claims to implement it MSIE doesn't display the favicon in the address bar. However, if you drag the favicon in the address bar to the right (over the address) and let go it may appear (not always). It doesn't always show beside the address in the favourites list either!
    Any particular reason for this occurence anyone?
    (BTW - happens on multiple machines of mine!)
