infrared for pc

im trying to make my own infrared setup on my pc so i can send my mobile phone images via infrared to my pc. i have the receiver and wires and all, but i dont have ir pins on my mobo. does anyone know a way of doing that with a serial port or parralel port?

personaly id save myself the hassle and get a usb irda adapter, or if ur fone has bluetooth then invest in a bluetooth dongle (only 30quid from maplins).
