It's a rallying call for the formation of a new activist group.
Their aim is to incite revolution by scrawling incendiary slogans on supermarket fruit.
They also believe that the first four digits of all barcodes can be used as pin numbers.

Got a list of what would normally come from Israel merc, or is it a lot of stuff?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,482 ✭✭✭RE*AC*TOR

Definetly see a lot of israeili potatoes in the supermarkets. All this from an essentially desert country! Fair fúcks!

Generally, if you can get water to it, just about anything will grow in that climate. It's perfect for growing stuff.

    http://www.bigcampaign.org/boycott.html

theres a list of products there but not all of them were made in israel just the site is asking to boycott them because they have some sort of connection with israel.

Unless you can replace boycotted products with alternatives then it will fail though.

I dunno how the situation in the middle east will be helped by damaging the Isreali economy (which by the way a lot of Muslims depend on as well), but whatever floats your boat.

    This is a good one:
    Disney
The Millennium exhibition, of Walt Disney opened at Epcot Centre in Florida on 1 October 2000. The exhibition is proposed to be the greatest show expected to attract millions of viewers from throughout the world. The exhibition shows Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This is an attempt by Disney to mentally condition people in accepting the illegal Israeli claims to Jerusalem.

Well, uzis are crap assault rifles, but ok for personal short range defence. Sounds to me you people have never even seen one, let alone used one

Why would anyone encourage people here not to buy Israeli products?

    Reasons like this maybe
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,,1326567,00.html

The Israeli army yesterday suspended an officer who is accused of firing up to 20 bullets into a 13-year-old Palestinian as she lay on the ground after having been shot from an army outpost.

And balance is not the issue here when condemning the Israelis, if there was any balance in the first place the Palestinians would use f-16's and not suicide bombers which are a weapon of the weak. Dropping a 500lb bomb on a crowded apartment block in one of the attempted assassination attempts on Sheikh Ahmed Yassin was also not exactly balanced, I think 20 died that time, 13 of them children.
They eventually got the blind deaf old man with a stinger missile straight into his wheelchair, sickening bastards.

A stinger missile is an anti-aircraft missile, so either he had a flying wheelchair, or you don't bother to check your facts and just throw buzzwords at people, hoping they won't check

Does the type of missile really make that much a difference?

To me it shows that he doesn't know or want to know anything about the military or how it works, and only wishes to condemn what he doesn't understand.

On my part, I agree that what is happening in Israel is terrible, but nobody seems to be offering a solution, other than all the suicide bombers magically deciding they don't want to blow up civilians anymore, and going home.

Why do ya want israeli food to be boycotted merc?

Boycotting their produce wont stop the israeli army shooting at 13 year olds

Nice idea, but Why not just boycott UnitedStates products instead?

After all they're (in large part) making what's going on in Israel possible by directly suppying around 23% of the countries (approx) $10billion dollar p.a. 'defense' budget.

Quick of the mark with the negative karma, are you Barry Aldwell?

Stating an uzi is a sub machine gun and to get my facts right. Four your info, an Uzi is used as an assault rifle when switched to manual. In this mode you have a half chance of hitting your intended target at say 100m. Switch it to automatic and it is a sub machine gun than is only really effective within a very short range
    (say 20m)

The uzi was my personal weapon...

Apologies everyone for going off topic

Let's all just ignore the topic and listen in rapture to unkel's tales of derring-do with firearms.

No, really, I'm fascinated. Aren't you?
