I don't know who it was - who did Corey Feldman play? I liked the guy called Mikey (I think) - he was the lead, basically, and he had braces.

    [I am female]

I still kind of have a thing for braces. biggrin.gif

Oh man, I used to love the Goonies, and I think I had an ill-defined crush on one of the characters. Or maybe I just wanted to *be* in that movie.

Anybody remember poor old Chunk?? With his Baby Ruth chocolate bars? smile.gif

Ah yes, the Goonies. This is still one of my favourite films ever, and I also fancied wee Corey (Mouth) at the time. I adored Sean Astin (Mikey) though, he was my major crush for a while (toy soldiers, memphis belle etc...aahhahahah). i remember watching the film when it first came out and thinking the cast were all really old, which is a bit scary now smile.gif

It's out on DVD in the US I think. It WILL be coming out in the UK, as I want it. So it will. smile.gif

that's good to hear. i wouldnt be surprised if they stick on some special feature like "Behind the Goonies: A Tale of Drugs, Sex and Truffles" and "Where are they now?"

    He's dead.
    So's Ma Fratelli.
    So's Pa Walsh.

The DVD isn't out yet.. should be out at the end of this year.

They're apparently making a sequel. Feldman was asked and said he'd be delighted. Although he'd be delighted if someone would spare the price of a cup of tea, too.

the goonies is one of a few films that i have seen 1000000 times (along with stand by me, little shop of horrors, the princess bride and one or 2 more..) i saw it again recently and the acting is brutal! "its their time, their time... up there... but its our time, our time... down here."
its still a great film tho. chunk 0wned. The goonies game for the nintendo was one of my favourites even tho i played it on emulator recently and it was incredibly boring

"Where are they now" features don't always work so well with kid actor movies, the one on Stand By Me was particularly amusing; they planned out a half hour feature on where the actors ended up, and ended up having to find some way to pad out "Face down dead in a gutter in LA" and "Detested by all star trek fans before disappearing off the face of the earth" smile.gif

ahh I remember watching that film smile.gif
its still on tv the odd time, usually on rte 1 or network 2, they seem to show it mostly
its funny watching it with your friends, cause its funny slagging them and saying they look like blah
hehe I remember watching that years ago, the film used to have me confused and I never knew what that monster was in it
    lol

    thats our Wesley!

who cares about feldman or astin? what about sloth! he seems to have had quite an illustrious career; he acted in episodes of the A-Team, Hunter, the Dukes of Hazzard, the Fall Guy, Miami Vice and M*A*S*H
and movies like Ice Pirates and One Crazy Summer.

last I heard, he was president of the UCD student's union

"I collect spores, moulds and fungus."
