    ... only on BBC3!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/littlebritain/

Another sneaky way for BBC to get people to fork over money for a crap station with one BRILLANT show on it!

It isn't everyone's cup of tea... i do think it's possibly one of the best sketch shows ever. And to be honest, i did think 'The Fast Show' was somewhat overrated!

So, good news for Digital subscribers but everyone us will more than likely have to wait til they start repeating it on BBC2 / RTE2!

Anyone buy the 1st season of it on DVD yet? Was released today (11th October) - couldn't find it anywhere in town after college today. But if you've a credit card, buy it on Play for 12 sterling (with free delivery).

Since when has BBC3 been a subscription channel?

    Huh ?

BBC 3 is free on satellite - in exactly the same way that RTE isn't.
And most of the stuff is shown later on the teresterial channels usually only a week or two.

OK so you can't get it with a normal TV set, something about it being DIGITAL - BTW they will be pulling the plug completley on analog TV in the UK in 2008 or something - get used to it.

to see Beeb3 Channel 115 on a SKY box,
If you have an Irish subscription take out the card and turn it upside down and put it back in the box first.

Or if you live in/near the UK you should be able to get it with a FreeView box.

I tried taking the card out and putting it back in upside down - both with the digibox powered on and off. I'm getting an error saying the card is faulty and to contact the broadcaster. I read somewhere about the upsidedown card enabling a ITV, CH4 type loophole. Am I doing something stupid or is this upside down card thing a myth

Panic ye not! The first series of Little Britain was premiered on BBC3 some months before it got a transfere to BBC2 so you can expect the same again after all as much as the beeb wants to get ppl to watch 3 and 4 most dont so they have to show the best stuff on 1 and 2.

Yeah, i was thinking it'd be shown on BBC2 in the New Year. That's a good wait considering the new series will be 8 - 10 episodes. So i assume they'll wait til all episodes are shown on BBC3 before showing them on BBC2.

They've a lot to live up to, after that brillant first series. But i'm expecting good things out of it. Some of the new characters of this series are on the official site.

And there are other good shows. The Smoking Room is particularly brilliant.

Oh, and this week aren't BBC 3 showing a 'Real' Little Britain documentary that is full of real people who are distubingly similar to the characters in the show.

forget upside down card tricks etc. etc.

    tune it in manually
    10.744 H 22.000 5/6 i believe
10.774 H 22.000 5/6 (could be this also, i get mixed up between the RTÉ and BBC transponders)

I know they price in Euros..! But i think most people pay in sterling as it works out cheaper.

Example (using the 'Little Britain' DVD on Play):

First, show the price in Sterling: 11.99 (or converted to Euros: EUR 17.34 roughly!)

Then, show it in Euros: EUR 19.49

It's only over two euros in the difference but that's still somewhat of a saving!

    from bbc
Little Britain edited for BBC One

Cult comedy Little Britain is being re-edited for its first outing on BBC One in December, the BBC has said.

Certain scenes in the character-based sketch show will be replaced with new footage shot especially for BBC One.

Graphic references - including those made in Daffyd's "the only gay in the village" sketches - are deemed unsuitable for a mainstream audience.

The second series of Little Britain recently made its debut on BBC Three, winning a record 1.8 million viewers.

Changes to the show are being made because of the audience differences between BBC One and its digital counterpart.

"BBC One has a broader audience and is more family-orientated. BBC Three is aimed at 25-34 year olds," said a spokeswoman for Little Britain.

"We would obviously have to make small editorial changes," she added.

Matt Lucas and David Walliams as Lou and Andy from Little Britain
Certain words or expressions have been changed, while some scenes have been replaced by alternatives to minimise the loss of comic impact.

The stars of the show, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, were aware of the proposed transfer to BBC One, and wanted to ensure both audiences would enjoy the programme.

Editing for the BBC One shows are still in progress, so the specific scenes to be amended remain unclear.

WTF? Okay, its got the backing of the stars but really, either it should be as dirty as on BBC3 or not on BBC1.

    Mike.

Tried the above but still no ITV.

    Any more ideas?
