Winston Smith will be doing a book signing in Kilkenny
Sat 23rd October in Cleeres Theatre
as part of a music event featuring:
Los Langeros, Coldspoon Conspiracy, Large Mound and Puget Sound.

he's also doing a signing in
Red Ink books in Dublin (over Flip clothing) on Fownes
St. beside the Central Bank on Tuesday 19th OCT from 4 - 6.30pm

    A bit about Winston:
Winston first came to infamy by way of his hard hitting political shock
piece, Idol - a 'bowling trophy style' Jesus nailed to a cross of
dollars that was used for the Dead Kennedys' album, 'In God We Trust, Inc.'

He has done album covers for many bands on the Kennedys' label Alternative Tenticles, including NoMeansNo, Lard and other bands like Green Day and Gout.

He is becoming increasingly known for the political and social commentary in his work.
    check out winstonsmith.com for examples.

And then we have 4 of the best bands around at the moment :

Coldspoons played a great gig in Ryans of Kilkenny last February, their music is indescribable so listen to it at their site.

Los Langeros are rocking garagey folk punk form cork. And they know how to party.

Puget Sound are playing Kilkenny for the first time since they got back from Brazil. Last time anyone heard them they played the punky reggae like no one has done in this country for the best part of a decade.

Large Mound rock like crazy and have a pretty nifty new album out. check it out here
