Although they never actully never use the word in the show I think its fairly cool. Lesbians in buffy.Now when people tell you your a geek for watching it ,you can say"BUT THERES LESBIAN ACTION IN BUFFY"

Actually in one of the episodes of BTvS Willow and whats her name are being interviewed a head watcher something like.

Watcher: So what is your relationship to her?
Willow: huh? oh! erm, we are friends, kind of close friends, really close friends, actually she's my lover and we are both not ashamed to say it.
Watcher: (rolls eyes) no I meant you and Buffy.
