Mac auto update

    quick question.Would someone be able to give me a few step by step instructions on how to set up automatic updates or equivalent name on Macs. I don't have a mac but i need to know for someone else. Thanks.

    in OS X
    Go to 'System Preferences' (which you'll find in the Applications folder).
    Click 'Software Update'.
    Click the checkbox beside 'Check for updates:' and select either Daily, Weekly or Monthly schedule.
    Click the checkbox to automatically download updates in the background.

    You can also manually click 'Check Now' to ....you guessed it.
